Abstract

The Protestant reformation gave birth to an organic process of self-revisionism, intrinsic to its own liberal nature, although this anti-orthodox movement was a fragmentary one. Not accepting the crystalized form of the Christian dogmatics, and considering the overcoming of Luther the proper praise to him, the so called Lutheran heresy went forth with the radicalization of individualism in theology and cosmology. On the lead of this movement was Jakob Böhme, a shoemaker without any academic education, who not only adapted the alquemic and medical language of Paracelsus, but also performed a major synthesis between Neo-Platonism, the Christian mystical tradition and the still young Protestant theology, opening the field for the further blossom of German classical philosophy in its remarkable and well known associations with theosophy and mysticism.
